The energy was electric from the moment the group from JAG Foundation arrived. Smiles lit up the dock as each child was greeted with a warm, high five, a simple gesture that set the tone for a day filled with connection, laughter, and discovery.

First stop? Name tags! Once everyone was officially introduced, the crew moved straight into an energizer led by the always-sparkling Erica. The kids jumped right in, their enthusiasm bouncing off the sails as they danced, stretched, and giggled their way through the activity. The vibe?

Pure joy.

Then it was time to hit the water, the part everyone had been waiting for!

Excitement bubbled over as the young sailors climbed aboard. There was a special kind of magic in the air: some had never been this close to the ocean before, let alone set foot on a boat. But you’d never guess it by the way they embraced the experience. They listened closely, learned quickly, and in no time, they were confidently helping steer, balance, and explore the rhythms of sailing.

During the session, they also became young ocean guardians, grabbing fishing nets and scooping up floating litter from the water. It wasn’t just sailing; it was a mini environmental mission — and they took it seriously (but with plenty of giggles in between!).

Many of them didn’t want the session to end. A bunch of curious minds asked if they could go again, this time all on their own! Though time didn’t allow for a second round, their eagerness said it all: they were hooked.

By the end of the day, cheeks were flushed from the sun and laughter, and hearts were full. What started as a simple outing turned into an unforgettable adventure, sparking curiosity, confidence, and a deepened love for the ocean.
