In late 2021 little Onwaba, from Umtata, underwent a dual leg straightening operation.

This brave little girl has been recovering well and has visited Cape Town 3 times for checkups since her surgery – in January and July 2022 and she has just had her final checkup this past February 2023.

During each trip to Cape Town the woman behind the project, Josie Borain, has ensured each trip was a memorable one.

Onwaba and her mom have experienced all Cape Town has to offer and this last trip included a special first-time visit to the cinema, which was a real treat!
