The day unfolded when a group of incredible young adventurers from Astra special school joined us at The Little Optimist Sailing Academy for their very first sailing experience.

For many of the children, it was their first time on the water, and the excitement was matched only by their excitement. This experience for them wasn’t just about learning how to sail but to gain a sense of confidence, bravery and inspire them that they can do anything.

This visit was also a chance for us to share the heart of our mission with some special friends from the United States, who joined us to learn more about our work with children. It was important to us that they didn’t just hear about the program, they could see it and experience it aswell. water. They saw how much goes into creating a safe, nurturing, and exciting environment for the kids and how much the kids take away from it.

Our goal is to spark belief in each child that they are capable, valued, and full of potential. The visit from Astra was a beautiful reminder of that mission in action. It was a success.
