The Amazing Race! Yes, you read that, right 😄

We had the absolute privilege of spending the day with our friends from Vista Nova Special School, now officially members of our sailing club (how special is that?!). From the moment they arrived, you could feel it… the excitement, the confidence, the “we’ve done this before” energy.

We started with a little recap from last year’s Multiday program, and let me tell you, the Champs still remember! Every knot, every part of the boat, every lesson.

But the real magic? The Amazing Race.

They split into two teams, and it was game on. A facilitator read out riddles, clues leading to different parts of the boat. You should have seen them thinking, whispering, and connecting the dots. One team member would shout the answer, and off they went!

They ran around asking sailing instructors their favorite colours (the random joy of it all), created their own energizers on the spot, and made sure every single teammate had a life jacket on because safety first, always.

Then came the real deal. Each team had to rig a sail. And they did it. Together. Focused. Determined. Hyping each other up the whole time.

And when they finally got out on the water using the very sails, they rigged themselves? Yoh. Confidence at its best. Not even the wind could stop these champs.

Teamwork. Memory. Courage. Pure heart.

Days like this remind us why we do what we do. 💙
