Jabulani Rural Health Foundation Project in collaboration with The Little Optimist Trust and Italtile

A note from the beneficiary:

In early 2025, Jabulani Rural Health Foundation was delighted to partner with The Little Optimist Trust, alongside their CSI partner Italtile, to address a pressing need at Khanyisa Preschool.

The initial plan was to rebuild the toilet structure and tile the preschool’s classroom floor; simple yet impactful improvements that would greatly enhance the children’s daily learning environment.

However, after a devastating storm in June, that blew over the existing toilet structure and tore the roof completely off the preschool, this support became even more significant.

Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we were able to stretch the donation further, covering not only the toilet build and classroom tiling but also the replacement of the roof. Their gift could not have come at a better time. The children, who had to stay home for a few weeks while the renovations took place, were overjoyed to return to a refreshed safe, and welcoming preschool.

The reopening naturally called for a small celebration, filled with excitement as they stepped back into their revitalised school. A heartfelt thank you to The Little Optimist Trust and Italtile for their perfectly timed, hope-fi led contribution that will help ensure that Khanyisa Preschool continues to be a place of joy and learning for the children of our community
