The Little Optimist Sailing Academy was recently visited by the students of Vista Nova School. A group of differently abled kids who kept the team on their toes. The teens were energetic, talkative and radiated optimism.
When they arrived, most of the kids were already in good spirits, while some were too shy to speak up. With some encouragement from the team, they slowly came out of their shells.
During the sailing session, the sun shone brightly while the canal was calm. A few of the kids chose to wait by as the rest of their peers got their sailing experience. Some sailed with the spirit of a professional sailor, while others relaxed into the experience. Once they were ready, they swopped over into a boat as their friends took a rest in the shade. A lot of conversations around food popped up during their break. One of the kids even said they will bring an air fryer the next time they visit!
At the end of the day, they enjoyed their lunch with bright smiles on their faces. Thanks to the team, they are more than prepared for their next round of sailing at The Little Optimist.
