🌊 The children from Heideveld had a very special day in Hout Bay. For many of them, it was their very first time visiting the ocean and seeing the harbour. Everything felt new and exciting.

When they arrived, some were very happy, some were nervous, and others were not sure what to expect. But soon, their smiles started to grow. They were welcomed warmly with hot chocolate and sandwiches, which made them feel special and cared for.

The children had the chance to sail in different boats. Some sailed in bigger boats, and others got to sail the optimist boats. A few children were scared at first and did not want to go out of the motor boat, but with a little encouragement, to give everyone a chance they went to experience Pico boats—and they were so happy they did!

After sailing, the children had another new experience. They went to a restaurant at the yacht club. For many of them, this was their first time eating in such a place.

It was a day full of new experiences, laughter, and learning. The children stepped out of their comfort zones, tried something different, and created beautiful memories.

This day in Hout Bay will always be remembered as a day of courage, joy, and new beginnings. 💙
