This little Edu Care Creche is lovingly run by Mama Linda, who built the home and creche with her own bare hands.

We visited the little creche to a warm welcome from the 25 kids who range between 1 and 6 years old.

At this age, all we try to offer is FUN and a little bit of optimistic education.

All the kids got to watch the Little Optimist Cartoon movie, and then received a copy of u Little Optimist ( the inspirational children’s book in Xhosa, their home language)

The kids also received a fluffy toy and some stationary to add smiles and laughs to the morning. After the movie and talk, they all scuttled off to put their books and new fluffy friends carefully into their little bags, ready for their trip home at the end of the day.

These little fluffy Toys, help kids to feel calmer, safer and less alone in times of need. And this Little Book that travels home with them,  is most often the FIRST book they have ever owned that is in their home language XHOSA.

This book is then seen and read by brothers , sisters, mums, dads and friends in each household… ensuring that this Optimistic, never give up, always follow your passions and dreams message, is passed on to many others and continues to be read and hopefully ingrained across the family unit.
