This year’s Kommetjie Surf Festival – held on 22 November,  brought together two incredible communities in a day filled with lots of fun on the water. Among the highlights was the special visit from a lively group of kids from Surf Pop, who joined The Little Optimist Trust for an unforgettable sailing experience. Surf Pop, known for empowering children through surf therapy and education, brought a group of young ocean-lovers to the festival. stepping onto a sailboat brought a whole new kind of thrill. Their energy was amazing from the moment they arrived on the beach. They went from doing fun games and energizers to hopping on the sail boats and having fun on the water.

Thank you to the wonderful Surf Pop crew for joining us, and to the Kommetjie Surf Festival for creating the perfect space for collaboration, joy, and ocean adventure. The Little Optimist team can’t wait to sail with these incredible kids again.
