The Little Optimist was invited to by the V&A Waterfront to take part in their One Community initiative.

We were amongst 10 organisations who came together at the beautiful Cape Town Cruise Terminal where we were visits by V&A HQ staff members.

They coloured in Santas showboxes, threaded bracelets, chopped veggies and made their mark for 67 minutes.

At The Little Optimist stand we had piles of Little Optimist books and mounds of plush toys – ready to get personal messages of love, hope and inspiration for the at risk youth that take part in Sailing programmes at The Little Optimist Sailing Academy. Every child who comes through our doors receives a Little Optimist book – in their home language as well as a cuddly toy to take home with them.

Now with added messages we hope that it will show the children that people care and the world can be kind.
