On behalf of our Home of Hope Family we would like to say a HUGE thank you to The Little Optimist Sailing Academy for inviting our children to an outing for a Sailing Therapy Day. All our children had smiles on their faces when they returned and still cannot stop talking about what they learned and experience.
This was an amazing opportunity for us and we are truly so grateful to have been a part of your event and the recipient of an incredible outing. It is because of amazing people like yourselves that we are able to continue providing the best care services to abandoned, abused and neglected children.
These innocent children who were born with HIV and or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder from the moment they were born have had so many challenges to overcome both physical and mental. Disease can be treated, explained and understood, but abuse, neglect and abandonment by a parent or family member I don’t think anyone can fully comprehend, certainly not by ones so young. For most of our children, Home of Hope is the only family they have, only place they have found comfort and safety.
Being able to provide them with security, education, love and support is our hope, our responsibility and our reward. These children deserve a future a chance to reach their potential but we cannot do it alone.
