Little Optimist Sails into Catkin High for Crime Awareness Campaign!

Yesterday, the Little Optimist team set off on an adventure that wasn’t on the water – but it was definitely all about making a positive impact! We were thrilled to be invited by JICS to Catkin High School to host a crime awareness campaign for their students, along with some eager learners from Woodlands Primary.

Our crew wasn’t your typical sailing team this time. We had Josh, our Sailing instructor, leading the charge, along with two of our inspiring team members, Renton and Amir our sailing manager. Their mission? To empower the young audience with knowledge and strategies to stay safe in their communities.

The campaign aimed to equip the students with the tools they need to make smart choices and navigate potential dangers. We’re sure there were plenty of captivating stories shared, drawing on the resourcefulness and problem-solving skills that sailing teaches so well.

It’s fantastic to see our Little Optimist team extending their positive influence beyond the water. By inspiring these young minds and fostering a sense of safety and community awareness, we’re helping them chart a course for a brighter future.

A big thanks to JICS for inviting us, and a huge round of applause to Amir, Renton, and Josh for sharing their expertise and enthusiasm!
